Back to School! 2nd grade and 5th grade! Yikes!
I remember 5th grade so clearly. Mr. Foster, Mrs. Gatti, and Mrs. Crocker. It was the year I learned about cuss words and teachers that spit and band. Ah…middle school. :) So grateful that 5th grade is still elementary school [...] 
Here’s what I know: School starts in 4 days! The 7-year-old thinks he knows it all. The 7-year-old doesn’t know it all, but is excellent with a check-list. The 10-year-old is too cool for check-lists. Too bad for the 10-year-old. I will be writing “Clean Teeth” in one of our blanks because if it [...] swimming summer league, swimming Damon McCoy, VBS, Cub-Scout traveling camp, road trip #1, church camp, golf camp, Louisiana State Long Course championships, trips to the grandparents, road trip #2, Cub Scout twi-light camp, water park, school uniform shopping… One of these is not like the other!
