Happy New Year! Do you make resolutions? I have in years past. Unsuccessful. I’ve tried a Word of the Year. Not so much. Goals? Just a list of words on paper for all the good they’ve done me. Let’s face it, a planner I’m not. I think I’ll skip the resolutions this year. Why?
2016 brought big milestones at our home: another big road trip, turning 40, Addie featured in the local paper and starting highschool and taking drivers ed (be still my heart!), tuna fishing, our first freezer full of venison…All big reminders that time is marching on.
My wish for 2017 is simple: to be more intentional with the time I have. I don’t mean being tied to a calendar or ruled by to-do lists. Instead, I want my moments to grow me. I guess you can consider these my goals or my plan for 2017:
- Try something new.
- Go somewhere new.
- Learn a new skill.
- Read something.
- Treasure my memories.
I’m going to try my best to share these with you. Maybe they can inspire you in your journey through 2017.
